How to read a food label

Everyone usually takes a quick glance at the nutrition info on the back, or just what numbers the put on the front of the product. They only make the things you wanna see/hear very obvious on the front. Sometimes they'll put 25g of protein in big bold letters on the front, but what they won't show you right off the bat, is that there's also 25g of sugar in it.

This food label can be confusing to understand.

Lets say this is an ice cream label. Many people will glance at the back and think that the whole thing is only 230 calories. But oftentimes what gets missed, is that this label is for 8 servings. Which means you are eating 8x everything the label shows.

Which is; 1,840 calories, 64 grams of fat, 296 grams of Carbs, 96 grams of sugar, and 24 grams of protein for a thing of ice cream.

Always make sure to look into what you are eating. This is very important if you are trying to count calories or your macronutrients. Missing the 'servings per container' can mess up all of your numbers and your goals.
